Hay River is known as the Hub of the North, for its vital role in the transportation history of the NWT.
It is the end of the CN Rail line and home to the Northern Transportation Company Ltd. (NTCL) shipyard. From here, fuel, food and other materials are transported to communities throughout the NWT.
From May 13-16, 2010, Community Government representatives, GNWT officials and others will gather in Hay River for the NWTAC's 44th Annual General Meeting.
We are pleased to announce that entertainment
has been confirmed for the AGM Banquet and Auction. Comedian Dave
Hemstad will provide post-dinner entertainment on Friday night and will
play Auctioneer. It is sure to be a fantastic evening.
