2007 PRESIDENT'S REPORT41st Annual General Meeting of the NWT Association of Communities. The 2007 NWTAC AGM is an annual event brought to you by Northwest Territories Association of Communities in May 15 - 17, 2007, Norman Wells. NWTAC has been recognized as the unified voice of municipal (community) governments within the NWT since 1967. The AGM provides community governments with the opportunity to meet face-to-face to discuss municipal issues and concerns, exchange information, and network. Delegates attending the AGM establish the policy direction of the Association and set the priorities for the coming year.

RegistrationPlease download appropriate form above. Please complete and return to the NWTAC office by April 13, 2007. We require this information for confirming luncheons and other conference arrangements.
MEMBER - As a Member community you may register as many delegates (elected officials) as you wish. NWTAC Member delegates have full voting rights as outlined in Article 10 Section 10.1 of the NWTAC By-Laws. NWTAC member delegates have the privilege of addressing the assembly with questions and answers (when recognized by the Chairperson of the session).
NON-MEMBER - As a Non-Member you have the privilege of attending all sessions. However, Non-Members do not have the privilege of the floor to address the assembly, vote or run for office of the NWTAC.
All cancellations must be made in writing to the NWT Association of Communities. Cancellations received before April 21, 2007 will receive a full refund (AGM registration only). Cancellations received after April 21, 2007 will NOT receive a REFUND. Resolutions 2007 FINAL RESOLUTIONS
At this time, we would like to inform members that we are now requesting 2007 resolutions from membership. Click on one of the links below for more information:
Guidelines for preparation of resolutions. These are helpful points when drafting a resolution for consideration for the AGM.
Categorization of resolutions. This explains the breakdown of resolutions and what action the NWTAC office will take.
2007 Resolution form. We ask that all resolutions be set out in the format that is provided in the guidelines for resolutions and the resolution form provided.
As with past years there is a deadline for the submission of resolutions to the NWTAC office.
This year the deadline for submission of resolutions is 5:00 pm, Monday, April 13, 2007.
